We had the plumber out to lay down the piping for the bathroom, unfortunately we discovered the main pipe was about 3 inches higher than we thought it would be and you have to have a grade between the drain and the main pipes that goes down at a certain rate (which I didn’t bother to try and know).. long story short we had to change our layout. So the toilet and shower have to swap places, which wouldn’t matter if it weren’t a tiny room and now we have to rethink where and how we can fit a sink. We’re going to have to get creative with this one!

Either way, we had the pipes laid and at 8pm the next night the plumber came by to test them. He called for the inspection the same night, and 8:30am the next morning the inspector was at our house to check things out. After my 2 week wait to get the electric permits to turn the power one for the home inspection I was shocked how quickly this went. Best part is that we were approved and now we can fill in the giant dirt hole in the house and start builing up a bathroom! Stay tuned..
